DALLAS, December 2, 2014 – The Dallas Arts District Foundation announced Tuesday the seven local arts and cultural organizations receiving $14,000 in grants. “Since 1997, Dallas Arts District Foundation grants have cultivated new and inclusive artists, work and audiences in our neighborhood,” said Dallas Arts District CEO Catherine Cuellar. “These creative recipients support the Dallas Arts District’s mission, enhancing the value of our city’s creative and economic life by engaging neighbors through excellent programs.”
The 2014 grants are awarded for original and multidisciplinary programs in the Dallas Arts District during 2015. The winners are:
Bruce Wood Dance Project: Five Year Celebration June 18-20, 2015 at Dallas City Performance Hall
Dallas Black Dance Theatre: Outreach Performance Series “Behind the Scenes” Nov. 23-25, 2015
The Dallas Institute: The Dallas Festival of Ideas Feb. 27-28, 2015
Dance Council of North Texas: Dallas DanceFest Sept. 4-6, 2015 at Dallas City Performance Hall
Fine Arts Chamber Players: Free Bancroft Family Concerts at the Dallas Museum of Art and the free Basically Beethoven Festival in July 2015 at Dallas City Performance Hall
Undermain Theatre: Undermain Reads at the Dallas Museum of Art
Voices of Change: Tibetan Fantasy March 14, 2015 at Dallas City Performance Hall

Since 1997, the Dallas Arts District Foundation Fund at Communities Foundation of Texas has awarded 401 grants to area arts organizations totaling $1,044,567.
